Ridgewood Post Office & Stores

Ridgewood Village is an area in the Parish on Uckfield in the South East of England, approximately 15 miles from Brighton, Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne.

Within the village sits the Uckfield Millennium Green.  It covers an area of 100 acres which makes is one of the largest greens in England.  The land was originally owned by Benjamin Wares and was used to provide clay for the Wares Pottery which produced Tiles and other ceramic pottery.  Within the green there is a deep quarry where clay was dug during the 19th and 20th centuries. The factory closed in 1963 and is commemorated in the naming of Wares Road.

There has been a Village Store and Post Office situated in The Lewes Road for over a hundred years and although much has changed over that time, we are still at the heart of the community.

We are a small family run shop that aims to offer everything you need.
