This weekend saw a tragic accident happen on Harvey’s Lane in Little Horsted.
A woman from Uckfield was driving her 4×4 along the lane at approximately 8pm, Saturday night when she collided with a group of pedestrians killing two and injuring another two. The remaining three managed to escape without injury. All were in their late twenties/early thirties. The pedestrians were from Tunbridge Wells and South West London and were camping at the Ember Campsite at the Bentley Estate. It’s believed they were returning from a walk to the Halfway House.
Few details have been released surrounding how the accident happened and Sussex Police have made an appeal for witnesses:
“We ask anyone who saw what happened to contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org ,uk or by calling 101, quoting Operation Greenwich. If anyone has any dash cam footage or CCTV, relating to this incident, we would be particularly interested to hear from them.”
