Our chairman Simon Autie has had discussions with Judy Wilkins and Colin Thompson at Wealden following residents concerns over public notices at the site indicating the site for recreational use. They have agreed to remove the signs and alter the two paragraphs which could be interpreted as inviting recreational use such as camping and music.
Simon has also put in place ongoing consultations with Wealden and a resident (Paul Hebert) who will talk on their neighbours behalf. This is in addition to regular site meetings for residents and interested parties, the next of these being in May.
We hope that this increased consultations between residents and Wealden will enable a suitable outcome for both parties.
